from 480 reviewsIt simply works. You get what your order, but you get it nicely packaged, with instructions, a note and everything you need. Everything has a nice quality, easy to assemble, and it works. But in case you need help, hop on the discord and they will solve your problems. The only downside is that I want to buy more now :D
I recently bought a Lily58 keyboard and am very happy with it. The keyboard is impressively light, and its Bluetooth connectivity makes it convenient because it eliminates the need for cables. The assembly was straightforward, thanks to the no-solder spring headers that are not only neat but also easy to use. The shipping was quick, and everything arrived well-packaged and organized. I’d definitely choose this keyboard again.
Fantastic service! Easy interface to go through especially if you use digital wallets like Apple or Google Pay.
Easy to assemble, easy to solder, a few extra parts just in case you miss stuff, and you get to support opensource!
Came faster than estimated, and everything was great!
Everything has been working great, it's a lovely keyboard.
Fast shipping with all items. High quality parts and easy to follow instructions. 10/10
Great price, quality parts. Was sent a defective battery but Typeractive immediately sent a replacement! Highly recommend!
I'm completely new to the DIY custom keyboard world. Shopped around a lot for different kits and such. Out of the stores I browsed, this package is definitely 1. the most complete, 2. best value, and 3. comes with the best service. The original shipment I received had an incorrect part in it. I took a photo, sent a message in the typeractive discord, and they immediately shipped a new part to me free of charge. The typeractive team is passionate about helping people and it shows.
Assembly is also super easy, especially with the partially assembled kit. Disclaimer: I have an electrical engineering degree, so soldering isn't new to me. However, the amount of soldering was super minimal, and the type of solder joints required are limited to the most basic one. I suspect that even a person whose never soldered anything before could assemble this board in one afternoon (after watching some videos on how to solder, and practicing on a spare part). It took about 30min per side of assembly time, for everything excluding the keycaps. The keycaps took longer simply because I was testing out different designs and arrangements, not because of any technical difficulty.
If you're new and looking for a wireless split keyboard kit, you won't be disappointed.
I’m in love with my corne. First split mech and I’m hooked
Everything was included. Simple build. It's now my primary keyboard I use full time every single day. Easy to transport and it's wireless. Pretty amazing.
The items sent through were packed well and securely.
Great price and value. It's so convenient having most of the components pre-soldered. Looking back, I probably could've soldered it all myself, but having it pre-soldered reduced the friction of starting the project in the first place. Keep in mind this board is for a wireless build with no TRRS connection between both halves.
I've had a handful of Lily58 boards before and often they develop issues or fail from my poor soldering. So, it was great for me to have all the diodes and hotswap sockets done flawlessly. The addition of the battery jack and on/off switch make the design a perfect build for a niceNano! set up. Finally, this is the first board I have had with the closer choc spacing and I LOVE it. Its way more comfortable to type and feels less chaotic as my fingers aren't stretching as far. That said, l'm an average speed, "home row" typist. It seems a lot of fast folks more often "hover" and for them maybe a little extra space leaves room for error.
Easy to build with the predigested sockets and buttons which makes it great for first-time builds. Also works if you want to add encoders to your build.
Easy to assemble and quick delivery, what's not to like? The online build guide (and supporting videos) were also easy to follow.
